Getting the plan together
I came up with an idea and started some initial research, I think I have a winner! Now it's time to plan some more, because I kind of like to be prepared, and put some wheels in motion soon. Dream Big, Work Hard!

Learning to levitate
I saw a tutorial on creating a levitating photo and thought I would try it. My result wasn't as good as I wanted, but it was an experiment. No shadow is the big thing, plus the position of my foot cut off my shoe and was a little difficult to try and fix. So for next time, make sure to have the shadow to create more effect and check where I am standing on the stool.

We had a fire one night with the kids and we "camped" at grandma and grandpa's house. Since I brought the camera and tripod, I decided to play with fire! As the fire was going I set for a long exposure and stoked the fire to create the effects you see. +ViewBug - Photo Contests

Talk about right place, right time. We were on vacation in Clearwater Beach, FL and while talking to a local we were told to go to Honeymoon Island. So we hopped in the car and started driving. Once we were there we walked the beach and were looking forward to the sunset. Then I watched this pelican flying and it landed on the pole as the sun was setting, creating this awesome contrast. This is probably one of my favorite motorsports shots I have taken. This was during practice for the Sprint Cup at the Indianapolis Motorspeedway in preparation for the Brickyard 400. I was able to capture 5 time Champion Jimmie Johnson during his practice lap. I positioned myself in the stands located within the track as high as I could get. This was taken with my Canon T2i and the Canon 55-250mm lens. My camera settings were f/11, ISO 100, 1/80 shutter speed. Looking back I would like to have tried slowing the shutter down a little more and possibly trying AI Servo for focus. Overall though I love this shot. +ViewBug - Photo Contests

Photo prjoject
I had come up with a photo project a while back that I was going to work on; then I did some test shots. After the few test shots I have decided this is going to be harder than I thought! I think in the next few weeks I will do some more test shots and see about the results and then hopefully come up with a game plan. Any other photographers start a project and find it wasn't what you envisioned?
